You have to think of this car in the proper perspective.

I feel like there was a time when I really dug HRE wheels, like, when I was 14.

Aston has some of the best factory wheel designs around, why drop $8k on these multi-piece monstrosities?

I love the F40 but damn if that dash doesn’t look like a highschool kid built it in shop class.

Can we please stop knocking cars for being reliable? I get that we view old, unreliable stuff as charming, but hour-long rides in a tow truck next a driver who can’t seem to spit his tobacco without a little dribbling down to his chin really isn’t.

I alost bought an ‘02 I35 in 2008. My brother had a Maxima and I’m thinking “nicer Maxima,” right?

What “R” you talking about?

A lot like a regular differential, but with more LSD

I had a VHS promo tape of the i30 line when I was a kid, sat and watched it like a Saturday morning cartoon....might explain a lot about me today actually...

Reminds me this essay

I was never much of an Enzo fan. Amazing car obviously, not hating on it. It frustrated me that journalists at that time often compared it to the F1, instead of its actual peers: CGT, FGT, and SLR.

Yes. The P1 is worthy.

Tyre limits. 217mph = 350km/h.
If you wanted to go faster, you’d need to make the tyre sidewalls tougher to cope with the higher loads, which would screw up ride comfort day-to-day.

It wasn’t built to be the fastest car in the world, just the best.

Much more downforce, meaning more drag. Besides, it’s not useful to have a car that can top out at 240+MPH when you can make something that gets to 200MPH in far less time, and can out corner anything. Much more useful for lap times and so on.

An inspired eulogy Ballaban. My favorite of the triplets. Successor to the iron throne.

On track, all this engineering comes together in what has to be the best, most complete performance car to ever come out of Ford’s stables. Yes, you read that right. Ever. EVER.
