That's crazy because my 335 pretty much gets that (L/100 km) or better in all-city traffic. I skip gears when up shifting a lot though. 335 torque makes me a lazy driver in traffic

Personally the appeal of the higher-spec models to me is the upgraded handling. That being said, my 335xi (with 6 MT) is pretty much as fast as an E46 M3. Though I'm sure the M3 would blow it's doors off handling-wise, it's more than enough power to have fun with.

Don't forget the rustproofing!

As a previous-gen WRX hatch owner, I'll have to disagree. NEVER liked the look of the sedan, even in STI form. Hatch looked way better, IMO.
