The entire article is a disingenuous take to try to slam the Big 3 as usual because Erik would genuinely prefer that the Big 3 go under and we all lose our jobs. Toyota’s plants are still open. Tesla’s plants are still open. Almost all plants are still open with the exception of one Ford, one FCA, and Honda. And if

Just fuck right the hell off. These folks have businesses to run, businesses that supply jobs and health care benefits to their employees. If they take unmanaged losses, these jobs go away.

huh?

This shit is absolutely tiring, all over the media recently.  And I would bet 99% of the time the author has donated absolutely 0% of their net worth.

I wonder what system created the cellphone this person typed their message on?

We get it. Unions good, companies bad, rich people bad. Rich people who donate millions still bad. Rich people who donate every penny they have still bad because their ancestors obtained the money unfairly.

Don’t let things like nuance or financial realities or math cloud your judgement here. BILLIONAIRES BAD! (See also: Millionaires, any amount of generational wealth, households who earn more than $30-250,000 a year depending on who you talk to, all equally bad and evil)

You absolutely should pick on Mike for this. Just because it’s common doesn’t mean that it’s right. He picked the title, he knew exactly what he was doing and excusing it only encourages more of the same.

So you hate Capitalism because people are giving their own money to charity instead of the government taking it and losing about 90% of it before it actually gets anywhere useful?

They didn’t have to donate a dime. Yet, they donated 10M Euros. You found a way to bitch about it. STFU, you worthless twat waffle.

This is part of why I wish Forbes lists and the like didn’t exist.

Stop resisting the narrative!

Another day, another “percentage of net worth” article about the ultra wealthy (not picking on Mike, it’s common across the mass media).

Came to Jalopnik today to read about car stuff. Left dissapointed that Jalopnik finds a way to bitch about someone donating money/resources, when the donating entity doesn’t have to do it at all.

“Obama did it” should be enough to keep Trump from considering it.

I mean, take the title away from BMW if you want, but if you’re going to try and give it to Genesis because they sell one car with one manual variant on a turbo 4 engine, you really probably need to give the crown to Porsche instead.

I could not disagree more about sunroofs. It isn’t a performance/track car; it is a FUN car. It is more fun to drive with the sunroof open.

It’s probably for the people like me. To me, any manual is better than an auto. I know, call me crazy, but even in a VW DSG, I find my driving experience much more enjoyable in a manual. Plus, I’d probably just change bushings or other DIY fixes instead of compromising with an Auto. I’m special, I know.

It’s looking like this ain’t our year...
