I’m glad you put emphasis on the ages of Dirk’s surrounding cast. There were some really excellent role players, but the second best player on that team was injured for the entire run - Caron Butler.

Just asking that question indicates that this is not for you. The third pedal IS the killer feature.
The 340 M sport? What is that even? A 340 with the M sport appearance package or a 340 with the MPPK?
Someone with 40+ cars probably purchased two of these. Cars are meant to be driven, and most are, but I’m not upset that some 1%er purchased and preserved this car. I wouldn’t be upset if the next owner did, too.
Pulling up to a red light with the intention of turning right on red and someone from the middle lane moves over knowing they’re going to wait out the red light.
And here I thought the student loan bubble would be the next to go pop.
I installed auto start on my manual Mustang in ‘05. It took just one time of leaving it in first and running the driver-less car into some shrubs to never use that feature again.
I agree. I guess I missed making my own point which was that when the budget doesn’t allow an M3 you can’t find a lower trim with a manual. Maybe no one really wants a manual 340i etc., but if they do they’re not out there, so it’s hard to think the take rate reflects the demand.
I’d argue that inventory has more to do with the take rate on manuals than demand. Concerning your example, it took me six months to find a 6mt 340i, and my search wasn’t even narrowed to a BMW. I just wanted above average performance, RWD, four doors, warranty and a manual.
Auto-dimming rearview mirror. Of all the features I thought useless prior to my latest car purchase this has been the most surprising. No more being blinded by every crossover while sitting at a light. The MT is a given for me, too, and really made the used car market a pain for me.
I get the manual is no longer “standard,” but hopefully we get the option.
I think the car looks pretty great outside of the rear spoiler. Not having a manual and not being able to cut much weight off the 340i are my biggest gripes. The 4.1 0-60 makes it clear power numbers are understated; par for the course for BMW.
I’m sure adaptive cruise control is great, but the sensor box doesn’t do anything for the front of these cars. They stick out like early rear view cameras.
Don’t take it so seriously; player intros are silly so might as well have fun with it.
In the market for a car? Want a manual? Pop open your favorite buy/sell car site, set the manual filter and prepare to compromise.
Sad times. I would like to see what percentage of people configured for the manual in their 2018 3 series.
The B52 sounds incredible - completely ignoring the speaker assist, too.
Why not put the onus of morality on the player rather than NPCs?
I enjoy MvCI more than any other popular tag fighter right now, but I don’t watch the tournaments because it doesn’t have the personalities I know and doesn’t have the spectators for hype. I do enjoy its more organic gameplay and branching combo options compared to the more popular DBFZ, but Capcom struck out on this…
The wakeup super adds extra context as to why this was such a good read. If I catch someone with a wakeup super I’m damn sure blocking the next chance they get at a wakeup invincible DP or if I’m Daigo I’m damn sure not pulling out an invincible DP expecting the block. This is the ol’ he knows you know he knows you…
