Are motorless walking pads a thing? Seems like it would be useful for working from home if it was just on rollers without the motor so you could just walk at whatever speed? Is that a thing?

I have read all these books... I don't see how this could possibly be not horrible.. I mean, I hope it is not horrible, but I am betting that it will definitely be not not horrible.

This may seem like a silly question.. but how would you manage these devices? For example, you managed your hue bulbs through the hue app.. but if you go and buy a generic z-wave device and install it.. is there a software layer that you use to make it talk to the router/use the device?
