Look up some photos of it and continue to be amazed. There are images of pills and acid tabs down the sleeves and a giant red cross on the back of the jacket. I imagine it must have freaked out a fair share of parents in the late 60's and early 70's.

Its not going to happen, sadly. The American electorate is pretty much “default Republican” these days, and it takes a lot of energy and momentum (the kind you only get when there’s Obama-level turnout in a presidential election year) to overcome the default and elect Democrats.
