I have a blog on Blogger, but judging by job postings, I really need to know both. And "broke and traumatize" is exactly how I feel. Wordpress forces you to spend money to do the same things Blogger does, but makes it a thousand times more complicated.

Would I be able to use Drupal (I need free things) to customize a template or just build from scratch?

Has anyone made their own website using a Wordpress template? I really need to learn Wordpress as I'm looking for work and many jobs in the field that I'm in requires knowledge in Wordpress and html. I'm thinking the camp grounds and the concert area are separate and you're not allowed to bring tents and blankets to the concert area. It would still suck since the desert can get pretty chilly at night.

I have never been to Coachella, and the way my friends describe it, I don't think I would want to. There are size restrictions for your camp and yeah, you're not allowed to bring outside drinks or food.

Someone pointed out upthread in the comments that the interviewer would probably give her five minutes to be polite, and then not hire her. If she can't find childcare for the interview, they may be afraid that she won't be able to find it consistently once she's working.
