Walker with the common sense reply as per usual. Both sides leadership is shit.

The main thing I’d like to point out in response however; during Clinton’s last term, there was a two-state proposal made to Palestine that would have seen 48% of the country given to the Palestinian’s, nearly every term they had been

That precise comment could have been levied against Turn-Based CRPG’s. Then there was BG3.

Inarius follows the old adage: If you didn’t see the lifeless corpse, they arent dead.

I actually find it funny, cause alot of the “Villain Origins” from Disney seem to be doing the opposite of whatever Velma is trying to do. They’re making something that COULD be dark, snarky, and cynical, and no one would bat an eye at, into something a bit lighter. And they’re still not super popular.

Maybe the

Honestly, based on conversations I’ve had with folks in the industry, it doesn’t matter how much they walk it back. This is the third time they’ve screwed around with the OGL/equivalent system (or tried to) in order to harm 3rd party developers in order to increase revenue.

And the issue is, if they change the license in specific ways, that could enable further modifications of the OGL in the future wherein they have stripped it of terms that prevent them from changing it in all the ways they want.

The issue as I see it, and a great deal of rage, is simple: This is how the systems been for 20 years. Changing something that is that entrenched in the system, especially if its to increase personal revenue, is going to cause issues in perspective for a company that has massive “Greedy Corp” written on them from

Between 60-80% last I heard? (Either 67% or 76% as I remember.)

There’s issues there however. You try to take money from other peoples creations, that’s going to lead to people leaving the usage of the OGL (especially with ORC and other such systems coming out and being stewarded by a third party in perpetuity.)

Its why I feel if they had just introduced it as D&D: Chainmail, and created a new Licensing agreement for that system as its not “Numbered D&D” the system would be remembered completely differently from how it is now. The biggest issue with calling it 4E is that they create an expectation that its going to be an

Basically my feelings. There were alot of systems from 4E that I was fond of, and it was a truly unique system compared to almost anything else I remember seeing in the TTRPG market.

Fun note: I’m exclusively a PF2E player at this stage, and have even done meeting and interviews with people in the creative sphere for the system.

Apparently, the situation hit the point that Amazon sold out of Pathfinder 2e Core Rulebook and Paizo’s website has been crashing for days with PDF order fulfillment crawling to a halt due to how many people were using it. I’ve also heard reports of LGS’s across Canada/the US selling out of the Core Rulebook as well.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss parts of Pathfinder 2e, hit me up. I’m in mostly the same situation as you (though my timeframe is more in the 20-25 year range), although I hopped off a few years ago when Pathfinder 2E released as I found it a system that catered to my desires better (and the way

I was one of the few who actually enjoyed 4e. I never quite grasped all the complaints about character realization weaknesses, difficulties RPing, or anything of that nature. I mean, Pathfinder 2E has a great deal of its DNA borrowed from parts of 4e. Maybe not specific mechanics (although those are definitely there),

Hard when said shitheels are the ones in government making the laws lol

Worked for gaming, can’t see it not working here.

And i doubt you’ll have the same amount of defenders as gaming did against piracy for this shit lol

I mean, some games had that with the internal batteries. My launch pokemon red has gone through 2 batteries since launch lol

I can most definitely see that. It sounds akin to EU4 and how ‘relationships’ in that game can feel with other countries for some players. Some folks end up with legitimate countries they hate in a playthrough, or countries they end up feeling an actual kinship with due to how the various actions or alliances can end
