Here’s the thing about Fallon. All of his material is designed to be packaged up and viewed on YouTube while you’re on the train to work the next morning. It’s repetitive and boring. Celebs come on because he’s a softball interviewer. His stuff works once or twice, then it’s just boring. You almost want to tune in to

I’m always amused by people who think that a trackpad is better than the TrackPoint. Those of us who have been in the ThinkPad-verse for a long time continue to swear by them. They’re super precise, and you can type and move the mouse without moving your hands. That’s a net positive.

Based on some of these results, I don’t know why I would not just use the 12W iPad charger I already have when I need to gas my phone up in a hurry. It seems to get almost the same amount of charge in after 30 or 60 minutes as the fancier bricks, and I don’t need any different fancy cables to do it, either.

People grouse about the change to the extensions system, but what this really means is that a lot of the stuff that has been Chrome-only for a long time should be available as a FF addon with very little effort on the part of the developers going forward. Not from Google themselves, I’m sure, but plenty of other devs

I’ve been a stalwart Firefox holdout for years now. I’ve used Chrome when needed (certain things just work better on it, for better or for worse), but I’ve never liked it as much as Firefox (and I’ve always thought Mozilla did a way better job with how it renders websites than Google ever cared to). I’ve been using

They could have used this during the Age of Ultron story where they had to tapdance so carefully around Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch not being “mutants”. I’d be curious to see what they’d do. Outside of DOFP and Logan, the later day X-Men movies have been kind of middling.

I’m glad someone mentioned “The Food”, because that was a great performance.

Or you could be me. The silver plan I had that was expensive premium-wise but provided excellent coverage for my needs is going up $200 a month and there is now a deductible where there was not one previously. I logged into healthcare.gov to see about this gold plan thing, and that plan is nearly $300 more than the

Clearly no one else here has ever had a Jersey Diner cheeseburger.

I think that is due more to the fact that the plot revolved most directly around the worst of their shows. I didn’t even make it through Iron Fist.

My grandmother always made hers different than I find anywhere. She would grind up queso blanco and mix it in with the dough and then fry them in an inch or two of corn oil. So good that way.

that’s eye opening. they’ve been my go-to computer parts ordering supplier since ‘99, at least back when i was building desktops on the regular.

I feel like he’s talking up a lot of big issues that merit close examination, but since everyone involved is white, the real points will be blunted. Also, this isn’t a time for the middle. This pandering to the middle is part of what’s gotten us to where we are in the first place.

If you have a complex tax situation involving owning property and securities and a small business, paying for an accountant is imperative, because they can navigate the complex tax laws and rules and maximize your refund. However, if you don’t own a house or anything, tax prep software will do the job just fine and

Nah, I’ll just stick to shopping as Wegmans as I have for the past decade and getting my food from a store that actually cares deeply about competitive pricing.

Am I the only one who finds the light lager discussion interesting in the light that AB-Inbev is trying super hard again to make commercials for good old Bud that market it as an unpretentious beer that’s just a good drinking pilsner? Just me? OK.

What is your take on “Certified Preowned” programs that dealers run? Since they’re usually a program from the maker and not the dealer itself, does that make it better or worse? I feel like this should be an easy thing, but as someone who is about to embark on a quest for a used car, I’d like some honest opinions on

I feel like none of this should be surprising. Plenty of movies that have won Best Picture at the Oscars were smaller films that were critical darlings that no one saw. How many people actually saw Moonlight? For better or worse, both “reality” and competition shows, as well as the scripted muck that CBS puts out

We need to start taking a more agile approach to the development of voting equipment and standards. Let’s have voting machines built on hardened commodity equipment using an agile, open-source approach for the software so it can be easily verified. It would not take as much work as they want you to believe and would,

Which is what Kris Kobach is basically trying to do with his “voter integrity” commission. A vast number of voters who are considered “suspect” and therefore should be removed will likely line up with the kinds of voters that they feel would vote against them in elections.
