I’m honestly curious how “ready” face-id tech is. I know Microsoft and their various PC partners are pushing it as part of Windows Hello, and all the machine learning that goes on these days has made face identification a lot better than it used to be, but I’m not 100% on being able to unlock my phone with my face.

I agree that the voiceover stuff can be hamfisted at times, but I think it’s the compromise the showrunners reached to get through a lot of exposition as quickly as possible. Sometimes they overdo it, but there are a lot of characters and backstory to get through, I guess.

For inside a squad car, sure, but if you put an iPhone in a strong protective case, it will be fine. You see plenty of smashed Android devices these days as well.

So about Webby. I think the update on her character is good. I don't think she'll just end up being the fourth triplet. I think they are serious about developing her as a character in the mold of "everything you can do, I can do better" and that's perfectly cool for this show. It's easy to look at this in the eyes of

Coke Zero and Diet Coke taste NOTHING alike. They both use completely different formulations. Diet Coke tastes terrible. Coke Zero at least tastes like regular Coke just with artificial sugar. So much better to drink. Maybe the marketing was a bunch of BS, but Zero is the way better product.

My apartment complex uses a locker system called ParcelPending. It works great. They put the packages in a locker, text you a code, and you can pick it up on your own time. No need to worry about someone being around to get the package, or the package getting stolen.

I shop at Wegmans (admittedly they’re a smaller chain), and I find that their store brand soy sauce, cream cheese, and sandwich cookies (affectionately named W O’s) are just as good as their name brand counterparts. The only things I really find there to not compare are ketchup and their canned soups. Oh, and their

Shame that this is being released by TinyCo which means you’ll be nickled and dimed for microtransactions to likely do even the most basic stuff, because they’re really making this look good.

Wegmans is another great example of this. Almost everything I buy from them is private label. In almost all instances, their private label products are as good or better than national brands. The only things I’ve found that don’t compare are their canned soups, boxed macaroni and cheese, and ketchup.

I disagree. I think they’re looking at this from the angle that it’s possible to make a movie featuring comic book characters that isn’t your standard superhero fare. I think this was more confirmed by just how much everyone loved Logan and how well it performed at the box office. I think this is a positive step.

Ahem. The Chemical Brothers were, in many ways, the poster boys of the "big beat" sound. Kind of contradictory if you ask me.

i always liked the 3 parter where they were tricked to going to england to try and end the curse caused by one of al's forefathers (eternal darkness for one village).

Honestly, stuff like this is why I make sure to only get apartments with in unit laundry. I hope to never have to use a laundromat ever again.

I remember a couple of years ago we stayed with a friend who lived in god knows where PA and we were going to a show that night and we stopped to get a six pack — at some pizza restaurant and it cost like double what a sixer does in Jersey. And that was just for beer.

Every store in NJ is like that. I too shop at Woodbridge and going there around lunchtime on a weekend day is bananas. However, it can't be either Woodbridge or Ocean because they can't sell liquor in store. Only Bridgewater and either Manalapan or Princeton (can't remember which) have liquor licenses under the

Ah, the joys of Bridgewater Wegmans.

Sadly no client supports Gmail’s tabs system (Primary, Social, Promotions, etc) and I live and die by that, so I’m sticking with the web interface and the official iOS app.

the honest truth is that it's a lot harder to find a good slice in most of manhattan these days. a bunch of different chains have gotten into serious competition and the dollar slice is the thing. as a result, quality has nosedived to keep the price in check. there are still bright spots in the darkness, but most of

So I’m actually a bit confused about how this works. I have 2 iPhones and an iPad on a 16GB “XL” data plan (with a 22% access discount). Do I have to count the iPad as a full phone now and fork over all that money for it? Right now it’s basically a $10 add on.

I really feel like people want to stick it to Big Red, buuuuuut...
