Oh poo. New Warriors is already past issue 10? Should I even bother?

That's fine. I'm starting to run out of trades from the 80's era X-Men to collect so this'll just keep things interesting. Thanks!

It doesn't seem like her appearances as Binary are collected in any of the X-Men books or am I missing something? I really want to read those!

Well Yost is just good. Don't know who gets more of the credit between him and Craig Kyle but those two are like studio musicians when it comes to writing although I was left lukewarm with Amazing X-Men. I'll have to check it out.

I haven't read it in awhile but I'm pretty sure? I'm just going on the fact that I follow Takara on ig and he'd post a lot of pages.

Are you reading Ms Marvel at all? Superior Foes and She-Hulk are both in my pull. Haven't even seen any pages of New Warriors.
Glad to hear an actual critical opinion regarding Captain Marvel. I wanted to love it and I dig Marcio Takara but DeConnick's writing . . . there's just something missing.

He looks old to you because of society's distorted beauty standards when it comes to super soldiers.

Now I haven't read any of the Spidey titles outside of "superior foes", what did you think of the character Silk? Going on your description I'm assuming you don't have a very high opinion but I thought I'd ask

I do like Angie. She's got moxy. Although it's hard to not notice in her and Wendy from Captain Marvel the whole "asian sidekick" deal. But like I said, it's a start that will hopefully progress with Silk's solo title.

Oh god. I forgot about that. I see all of these attempts at representation and I try to say to myself "it'll only be like this for at most 10 more years, right?". Well at least she doesn't have the typical "asian bangs" that people seem to think all asian women have. Sigh. Like I said, it's a start. . . right?

Gotcha. And I assume the longevity of Captain Marvel is due to DeConnick's stint on the character. Someone else was saying, despite the renumbering, she's pretty much been writing a consistent seller for quite awhile. I'd like to believe Marvel is also taking into account the rabid fanbase because that would mean

There's always the option of asking if any friends are interested in throwing in some titles they want to subscribe to as well or add titles that come out quarterly. It kind of sucks but it's better than just reading a handful of titles every month imo.

I hate that upon reading the character's name and seeing the black hair I thought, "lemme guess, she's asian". groan. I am reserving criticism since Marvel has been on a roll recently.

So I've heard and I guess it's fair to say that's just an example of how things are shifting. It seems like the Ms Marvel audience encompasses a larger variety of readers who, in my experience, aren't necessarily typical comic book readers (as in don't have pull lists/subscriptions) and aren't into hauling around

What needs to happen for publishers to take digital and trade sales more into account? I get why buying singles matters. But it just seems the whole system of accounting needs an overhaul.
And yes, people need to be buying this book. I feel that the majority of Marvel's female titles are really holding their own.

I liked the security guards that looked like old men in bicycle helmets.
