Early in season 2, Hannibal also mentioned Lady Murasaki (I still cringe so much over that name; it's like naming someone Master Shakespeare) being his aunt, and saying she taught him how to make kaiseki. So Japanese cast members aren't coming from nowhere.

I'm also kind of seeing it as how he deals with those he thinks have "wronged" him. He can forgive the slight only once he's consumed them. The main difference is, he sees the rude as being good only for meat, not absolution, so he forgives - or rather, lets go of - what they did. But those he cares for, who have

And now I'm just imagining all those giant snails in medieval art. If Hannibal ends up showing a man-sized snail…

Same. I don't think they are, either.

I actually started singing, "Will's gone over the eee~edge~! Will's gone over the eee~edge~!" at that bit.

IIRC, Harris didn't even want to write the book, but was told either write it or have the movie people come up with their own story. He was kinda sick of writing about Hannibal by then, so decided to write THE worst possible story he could, as a kind of petty writer's revenge. And hoo boy howdy, did he do it.

Considering how they're really hitting all the beats for Hannibal being the devil, I can totally see and accept that idea.

…the second book has been out since 1992. That's over 20 years. I think the spoiler limitation is kind of over. :/

SPOILERS! MASSIVE MASSIVE SPOILERS!

I don't think you actually read the review there, bro.

…you DO realize that Northern Ireland IS a part of the UK, yes?

I met a girl once from Mississippi and she had such a thick Southern accent I was thrown - I honestly wondered if she was English the first few times I heard her talk, and I say this as a Southerner (yeah, ATL~). Most of the time, Southern, but there were some words that just sounded straight-up English. Nope.

Prove it.

Guess you missed the part in the vid where Liam Neeson was talking about how close his accent was to a Kentucky accent, huh.

Awesomely clean, crisp, refreshing, and lacking in stale racial "jokes," thanks for asking!

There were so many possibilities with her character once she went evil, and they just completely missed out by killing her off. It's nigh indicative of all the problems the show has had this season - not knowing what they've got and piddling around with something new and shiny.

Yes, this. I was actually looking forward to her as the new Big Bad, but they completely piddled some actual character growth away.

There's a reason why you're the first and, most importantly, only one to do so.

As a character, she's always bored me stupid…until now. You're welcome to like her, but she's been either a damsel or just boring - in that she seems to only reacts to things, never do things on her own initiative - up until this season. Her fighting doesn't seem odd to me at all, but it was her deciding to embrace

I actually yelled, "Oh god, she's finally interesting!' at this episode. I'm so glad she's finally not a perpetual damsel!
