That one made me go, "Ugh, really?" when I read it in the book, so I was so glad to see it go.

If tumblr is not full of gifs of Dat Ass, I am going to be so disappointed.
When she said "Take off your shirt," I was thinking, "Channel your inner Khalessi, girl!"
Yeah, I think it went a bit too fast, too. This is one where it might have worked better as a two-parter. It was good, but needed either more time or more polish.
I read the book, too - actually re-read it recently in anticipation of the show coming out - and I liked all the changes they made. Things like not having it be the same church as she and History Dump Hubby got married in, and the ring, and the scenes as flashbacks Jamie tells her. I thought it was really well done…
I love how Claire's reaction to pretty much everything is booze. I know if I found myself dropped 200 years in the past, liquor would be my new BFF.
The way he growled at Jamie to thank him really made me think Dougal had a thing for Claire - that was pure bitterness right there.
I'll believe it's actually coming out when I see a release date.
She got herself completely wasted the night before, and was hungover the morning of. XD
Yeah, it was here - it was after he punched her. He asked if she had anything to say, and she told him his wig was crooked.
They really did an excellent job of somehow making Randall even more evil, as well as setting up better why he's so obsessed with Jaime later.
lol, they explain why in the books. And in the books, he's younger, about 21ish.
In the book, it was much more panicked - she was looking for an out, and she was scraping the bottle of the barrel at that point.
I loved how she grabbed the booze out of Dougal's hand as she walked by. She didn't even miss a beat. Marriage certificate in one hand, a bottle of alcohol in the other. Claire is awesome.
YES to everything you said. I was frustrated by that entire episode. It seemed like every decision got made because the plot required it to go that way, not because it made any kind of sense.
For me, it was my last straw with him. I disliked him anyway for how he treated Martha, and it his hypocrisy and god complex (the ending of The Water of Mars and 'Time lord victorious' line, eurgh) made me actively loathe him.
This would be why Ten was my least favorite of all the New Who Doctors.
We got more personality from Journey Blue than we did Clara all season.
And it's being done by Platinum Games, so I have serious high hopes for it. It's definitely not going to be a cruddy tie-in.
I am loving Asami more and more as this season goes on. She rocks.
