Yeah this is really a dumb thing to criticize. I can’t think of a single vehicle that comes with snow tires from the factory (not as an option).

Why give your first ten trucks those same flawed tires?

He didn’t flee because of the expired tag. He fled because he was a felon with a stolen firearm in the car.

In fact, police are putting 100 percent of the blame on the driver for his choice to drive away from a police stop

My last road trip in my Tesla from California to Idaho I would plug in, go to the bathroom, grab a snack and leave as the car was done charging, not sure why those folks were sitting around. Maybe there was a longer stretch without chargers. It’s even nicer driving from NorCal to SoCal because of the more frequent

Thanks, some actual proof. All we could do before is speculate.

Those numbers are not of the general population those are just Model 3 owners who sold them didn’t buy another Tesla.

Its not meant for the cybertruck... it's for the other models.  Why are you folks even expecting it to work?

1. I don’t know what you mean by “few remaining customers”. Tesla is literally the #1 EV manufacturer in the world.

It was certainly a minor design oversight but since all manufacturers (except for a few holdouts) have committed to switching to NACS, it’s really such a short term problem, maybe they did think of it but didn’t care enough to fix it. Maybe they’ll just make a new adapter that is Cybertruck specific.

It’s hard not to be pedantic in this study, because if we’re going to make this sort of silly argument we may as well be as accurate as we can.

I was thinking it looked much more like a Porsche Taycan EV, but without the weird droopy eyes

This is an extraordinarily stupid statement on multiple levels.

Revenue != Profit

EV owners plug in at home most of the time.

This is one of the few times I wouldn’t blame tesla that much since battery chemistry and manufacturing is fucking hard.

You can have both: Canbus. Even if you have real electric switches, they usually go through the canbus (or whatever system that particular manufacturer uses), and from there, the action is triggered.

And people believed they could somehow make a BETTER and USABLE infotainment system”

Exactly. It’s not Tesla’s place to change the car title or remove ownership. Until the court says otherwise, it’s still partly his car. We don’t want companies just changing the terms of ownership just because someone says so.

Would that really have helped that much? Since he was a legal co-owner, he still would have been able to do anything he wanted, including track its current location.
