This article is going ‘round and ‘round based on a mention in GM’s report, but nowhere does it say WHAT GM is doing in regards to Tesla vehicles.

for the record, this is the GM that went bankrupt in 2009.

Do we have any detail on what level of work this is? I mean, I go to my local mom and pop shop for service on my Tesla (wheel alignment, etc). Does that mean they are quietly repairing Teslas too?

because Toyota is doing everything possible to not go all in on EVs

I would buy this car if it came in full EV form. I’m not buying any more cars with an internal combustion engine, PHEV or no.

It’s not the same plug as Europe. Also, just because it was legally mandated in Europe doesn’t mean that it’s the right choice for the US.

That certainly makes sense in theory, but in practice the Tesla connector has carefully delivered up to 250 kw hundreds of millions of times without issue.

The side view is perhaps even more astonishing!

As a human who has to interface them, it does mean a huge amount though. Look at this side profile, which is to scale, of Tesla versus CCS. I’ve heard a lot of people say CCS can take two hands to hold and get inserted.

This picture says it all. Tesla got the physical interface right, and it’s better than the alternatives that came later.

I had traction control off, because I wanted to go sliding, but that dumps the suspension, so the suspension had no travel at all”

He did not think about anything when buying the company. It was a complete impulse.

I jumped out of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade I was reviewing, dipped my credit card in the pump, and filled the tank — two-thirds depleted after about 350 miles of highway driving — with premium unleaded.

It sounds like Tesla does have a backup system, but for whatever reason it wasn’t working.

It also could have been solved by bringing his spare key.

You’re an idiot if you believe that he used something like Elmer”s glue from a kids school project. The have many different kinds of adhesive you numb skull.

What’s with all the Tesla hating? Car people are supposed to celebrate all and anything on wheels, not get all down on innovation.

I’m genuinely really interested to see how this goes and how the trucks perform in the real world.

There is a ton of daylight between “Telling them to check her reservation” and “Employee called cops” if you care to comprehend it.

Oh no legacy automakers sell an electric vehicle with wheels that fall off after a couple of miles but god forbid Tesla which started making vehicles basically last year, have panel gaps.
