Hyundai’s recalled batteries were also LG

Too bad they didnt reset that ugly ass design. the bolt was a good little car for a decent price its just fugly. and of course minus the battery issues. electric cars dont need to look like space ships. making them look like cars is fine.

I agree.  The only people who can’t tell the difference are those who need to visit the eye doctor and get new glasses.

The 911 had no major styling changes between 1964 and 1989. They seem to have done alright.*

It’s probably time for a generational update, but yeah, they’ve certainly kept working on it during it’s lifespan.

I know no one likes a “don’t let the door hit you on your way out” type post but damn I feel kinda heavy for this. For the last close to 15 years my number one bookmark on my favorites list was Jalopnik and today I’m deciding to change that. There are a lot of phenomenal writers who have come and gone in that time. I

Ten year old design with no major styling changes in that time

I don’t care what horsepower it makes, I’m getting physically ill from looking at those wheels.

Tesla Model S. There, I said it.”

ok. Since they announced they were stopping support updates for v1, I already switched my lone v1 camera to stream the inside a little birdhouse I bought on Amazon. Have at it haxxors!

Now that EVs are a thing, there is a competitive effect to these fines. Those makers that get these fines, and attempt to simply pass them on, will be putting themselves in a bit more of a non-competitive stance relative to EVs or carmakers that don’t rack up these fines.

The casino boat I worked at briefly in college had to fire up the engines and move once per year to remain legally a boat. While this was a river boat and in a different state, it was still a boat who’s entire existing was a legal loophole.

As much as I often complain about the tactics of the rich in avoiding and at times outright evading taxes with impunity I am completely with the boat owner here.

same, I thought it was attached to the land and just happened to float but clearly that’s not the case. just because it’s not designed to go very fast or go out to sea doesn’t disqualify it as a boat just like a barge is still a boat.

Me too - I was going to say... ehhh... this is a stretch.

Honestly, I was ready for this to be wayyy less boat-like than it is.

In this case it seems like it would be

Now I would get a notarized and signed purchase agreement clearly stating the price.
