While Civil War will have a load of characters there are a lot of characters that have already been established in the Marvel/Disney cinematic universe. It’s easier to have Falcon show up when he’s already shown up in another film rather than just showing up in a film packed with new characters.

Man, you guys really need the hate clicks to keep the money coming in, eh?

Well they’re adding only two more characters into Civil War and also the majority of them already have several films to establish their conflict.

I think people trust the Russos and Marvel to juggle so many characters as they’ve done in the past, as opposed to Snyder who could barely handle the six in Watchmen. Or one character in nearly every other movie he’s made.

They have at least built up to it, thoug. The Marvel movies have slowly established the characters. Doing that work in one film would be far more challenging, or lead to everything being shallow

But Marvel has shown in Avengers 1 and 2 that they can pull the balancing act off. To this point, DC appears to be playing catch up and in only their 2nd film in this newly rebooted DC Movie Universe saying “look, we can do it too!”

We get to find out on Friday if it worked.

but I didn’t want to get my eye too far off the ball because I needed to spend the time, frankly, with Batman and Superman to understand the conflict.

There’s a little bit of difference in that BvS is going to be our first introduction to 90% of the characters.

and originally there were going to be even more.

Jesus this movie is going to be stuffed full of characters. I can’t see it being very good at all.

No way that could have gone wrong...

Personally, I’m hoping for Jon Bernthal to make an appearance.
