I actually found it really moving when we saw them all playing the game and the guys were into it and it made Paula so happy. The show’s done a great job on taking us back and forth on who the “bad guy” is in Paula’s family, and that scene underscored that family can just be really tough, and they’ve all had a hand in

I think the other reason the left-behind friends plot was so important was because part of the reason Rebecca turned to suicide is because she imagined all of her friends hated her for what she said to them. She felt there was no way out, no way to reconcile with the people she cared most about. Meanwhile, they’ve

I know you referenced the scenes in West Covina as “filler” but I did not interpret them that way. I saw a group of people who were collectively and individually struggling to process the loss of a friend. Even though Rebecca has done bad things and said horrible things to them, they still love her and desperately

God, I’m so glad to be able to talk about something frivolous with regard to this ep. About the Speedo - I TOTALLY AGREE, and not just for eye-candy reasons. If Nathaniel had a bathing suit in his car, wouldn’t it be a speedo? I’m assuming he still plays water polo or at least swims for fitness reasons, and if so, I

I find it interesting that he seems to have focused his reprehensible behavior on the production staff and not any of the actresses. That seems kind of deliberate, I think.

Heyyyy, maybe they’ll be able to write romance storylines that aren’t creepy as fuck on that show now! And even give Iris a little agency!

“Take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus.”

Maybe make her vision more vague to the audience about what’s going to come. She knows shit is going down, but we have no idea what, exactly. Do that, have it happen right before The Spy, and I feel the fallout wouldn’t have been nearly as bad with the audience.

Calling her classy doesn’t give her enough credit. What she said:

If you can stomach it, this Politico piece on how Trump’s base in PA feels about him now is worth reading just to illustrate how disconnected from reality these people are. It’s worse than even the caricatures of them suggest. There are plenty of jaw-dropping passages, but this one jumped out at me.

Maybe he’s trying NaNoWriMo and is just desperate to put words on paper.

The only narrative tool I was behind from start to finish: Person of Interest’s character flashbacks. They tended to be used to explore the character pasts without necessarily contributing to the dilemma at hand.

Steps to improve LGBTQ representation on screen:

I read everything Tessa Thompson meant me to read in the scene where the other Valkyrie is falling back from her after she’s been run through. There’s intimacy in the anguish on her face that goes beyond mere sisterhood. I thought it was a brilliant bit of acting.

Well Jim Beam should be scared. The GOP has annihilated corporations across America with their boycotts. Take a look at the list of recent victims of their targets, mere husks of their former selves.

If only he had millions of dollars to fall back on

That mental health excuse would carry a lot more weight if the people using it weren’t actively ripping apart the healthcare safety net the mentally ill depend upon.

I really wanted a Doug memorial as one of the end credits scenes. I did not need a Grandmaster reveal. It was unnecessary. I think to see a giant memorial to Doug (insert photo of Thor’s Australian roommate as we learn his real name is not Darrell) would have been amazing.

I am still continually shocked at how much I love Andy Samberg on this show...I almost didn’t watch at when it premiered because I just couldn’t picture myself enjoying spending 22 minutes a week watching him do his schtick. This show has turned me into a fan.
