Well, yea, it is essentially a cycle of playing on a harder level, getting better gear, and then moving up to play on an even harder level.
Most people love that power gain reward, seeing their attacks go faster, the number crit bigger, and more enemies explode at once.
It’s a mix of dark and ridiculousness, cheesy stuff has been in the game since Diablo 2 had the cow level. Blizzard’s normally had some zany options in all of their games.
