The mother could be a monster and I would still think that the judge was abusive to those children. Her language was abusive. Putting them into juvie was abusive. The children need therapy, not jail.

Seriously, I don’t care if the kids are actually suffering from brainwashing/parental alienation syndrome or not, the way she spoke to them and treated them was flat-out unacceptable no matter what. She cannot say she was acting in their best interests while simultaneously verbally abusing them and for all intents and

No joke. From what I’ve read, these three are high achievers who’ve likely never been in any trouble with the law before, and they got torn away from their mom without even a goodbye and locked up in isolation from one another and anyone else they knew for I don’t even know how long.

Obviously this is a complex case. The mother is not a saint here. This is a bitter legal battle. But most people are focusing their condemnation on the judge and this particular action...and they are 100% right to do so.

Exactly. That’s really the core of the issue here. I don’t know the procedural history of this case, but it certainly sounds like it’s the divorce from hell. The problem, however, and the thing that makes this particular judge’s behavior so unconscionable is that she is essentially punishing the children for the fact

Because family court judges aren’t supposed to send kids to juvie. They don’t even have the jurisdiction to send kids to jail. The kids aren’t parties to the divorce.

Everyone always talks about how evil lawyers are. But I’ve always seen lawyers as the only thing protecting us from crazy judges and other legal bullshittery. The lawyers in this case seemed like the only reasonable people.

Absolutely! If there was some sort of reason to suppose the mother to be an unfit parent, hidden away in those files she refers to, then that might justify taking the kids away form their mother, but it would never justify treating the children like THEY are the ones who did something wrong! Her treatment of the

I literally don’t understand how this judge has the jurisdiction to MAKE these children do anything. They are not parties to the case - she can require the PARENTS to say, make the kids available for visitation but if they don’t want to engage their father... she literally lacks the actual authority to make the

No matter how you look at this story, the children are the victims here.

Now the summer camp thing does make more sense given the judge’s original rhetoric of “your mom is poisoning you against your dad” since if that was her stance the obvious recourse should have been “here is a neutral place you will be put that is nice and fun and safe and both parents have supervised visitation”

I love that she’s doing the whole “you guys don’t understand” thing when literally NOTHING (barring the kids actually, you know, committing a crime and even then it’s debatable) that justifies her sending them to jail and threatening them in the manner that she did (“you want people to watch you pee?”).

IMPORTANT:

Did she even apologize for anything? She’s just like “I’m sorry guys. I’m sorry for that thing I did. I really love America right now.” Does she think the only thing she did wrong in the video is say that she hates America? For fuck sakes, she didn’t learn ANYTHING from this experience.

What about the doughnut shop?

I just can’t with Ariana Grande. She was rude and entitled to that donut lady and as someone who has worked in food service before that is a definite turn off. And licking items in a store is just ridiculous as this publicist encouraged apology. I said this on the other post, but I’m going to go ahead and believe that

Right? I don’t care about whatever she said about America. I care that she licked a doughnut and put it back. WTF.
