If you want to transport motorcycles or karts to races and have a nice base of operation the low roof just stinks. Just got back from hauling 3 bikes from New England down to the Sandblast Rally in South Carolina in a Sprinter that had an ECU flash to remove the governor. It hauled ass (for a van), got just about

I don't believe that you could get the V8 and manual together stock on this car. I remember my dad wanting to buy one and two pedals nixed the deal at the time. The Dekon Monzas were beasts though. This one is cool, not sure if I'd lay out $5,900 for it though.

Little known fact, Tartarstan is the world's largest provider of sauce for McDonald's Filet O'Fish sandwiches. Production was moved there after the break-up of the Soviet Union when McDonald's in an effort to diversify production found that indigenous Tartars were experts in making the perfect blend of ingredients.

Makes sense that NASCAR owns DTM rights in the States seeing as they are all spec cars under the bodywork. Back when DTM chassis were bespoke to each manufacturer I had interest. Now that they're all the same, its harder to get excited about them.

Unfortunately no 4x4 four cylinder that I could see on the website.

I predict a flurry of outrage.

What are the odds that there will be a third pedal, slim or none?

I was going to call out the GTI 16V, perhaps those were made before our author was out of diapers? Either way, nice story, but I always view Recaros as one of the originators.

That horse looks like its really enjoying itself. (And its a splitter, dang city slicker writers)

Take my money!

Well, let's start that these are all computer generated vapor-ware for the time being. Every one of those images is rendered then Photoshopped and not actually built.

Its easy to sell, tell the consumer they can have the self-righteous feeling of Prius owners with an extra side of BMW smarmy.

Land Rover has lost its way. Yes they keep making money, but they sacrifice a piece of their heritage every time they come out with BS like this.

The very first rule in making your Jeep more capable off-road is lockers before lift. I'm pretty sure that you can only lock the rears on the 2014 Cherokee. Anyway, the XJ is dead and not coming back, they still make the Wrangler and that will have to do.

Love the cheesy 80s porn music that goes with this video.

On one hand you can almost see what they're smoking with this one, but in the end its just a fast GM crapwagon, and with only two pedals at that.

Videos like these make we want to go out and do bad things in my WRXs. Tomorrow I practice Swedish Rally.

Its a good book. Light on words but lots of pictures and you really can abstract the designs versus the form of the cars. As a graphic designer and petrolhead it ticks my boxes.

Now playing

There is a book I picked up a couple years ago called "Go Faster, The graphic design of racing cars" its pretty cool. Here is a video with the author talking about it
