I dunno. Sam seemed pretty damn proud to accept the shield. My guess is that he had it taken so the government’s hand picked Cap replacement could use it.

We might assume that at some point the shield Steve gave to Sam has been taken from him by the government.  Maybe part of the story for the show is the effort Sam makes to get it back from someone who doesn’t deserve it.

No. He is without shield when leaves he returns the stones. He at some point while on his stone returning adventures in the past (that I hope we get to see one day) has the new shield made and he brings it back to the present to give it to Sam.

Do you even watch the progress of the Sanders campaign? Or do you just assume that since you detest him...everybody else must also?
