We've not necessarily seen the last of Julie Mao, since Florence Faivre is credited as a major actor.

I must wonder if the reviewer and I have been viewing the same show, for I'm rating the finale (and the entire season) a solid A. It adds context to all that went before. This series has remained generally true enough to the first volume thus far, and indeed, it whets the appetite to read the entire epic. Although it

Simone won't be busting any more nuts.

Regina King was spectacular tonight, but she and Carrie Coon together executed a most exquisitely painful pas de deux. I don't know how this series can top tonight's acting. This was a gift to viewers.

Not a lake. Pedernales River at Pedernales Falls State Park, Johnson City TX. Jarden TX is actually Lockhart TX.

I can't imagine how this series was renewed for a third season. It's long past its "sell by" date.

I stand corrected. It is 10 episodes each for seasons 1 and 2.

I don't view Niska as a villain in this version. She's ambitious and I believe her agenda is to use the program to give sentience to as many synths as she can, regardless of the group agreement that it might not be wise to spread sentience at this time.

To the best of my knowledge the only way to view online the original series produced by SVT, Äkta Människor (Real Humans), is on Vimeo, in Swedish with English subtitles. All 20 episodes (seasons 1 and 2) are there, each is in four segments appx 15 min each. The entire series had been uploaded by a Vimeo member.

I stand by my earlier contention that Äkta Människor is superior in almost every category, the lone exception for me being the actors in the UK version. And I take care to note actors, not characters. The UK version cast can be proud of their performances given an inferior product they were tasked to bring to life,

What's more, Lisette Pagler was superlative in her role as Hubot Anita/Mimi.

Mia to Laura: “I think it's our plan to conquer the planet and make humanity our slaves.”
Oh my, Mia, you let the cat out of the bag! LOL!

Yes, but . . . ! How do we know the medical examiner isn't a cleverly planted synth as part of the synths' "diabolical plan to conquer the world and enslave the humans"?

“I was there the whole time. You started to hate yourself before we even finished.” She absolutely slammed him and waited for the opportunity to do it in private. He had to know it was coming, but it was still powerful.

The bullet apparently nicked her neck but I saw no profusion of synth blood.

Buzz is that the writers may well expand on the original theme, although that would represent a departure from what has already been a departure. I just hope the prospect of additional seasons will result in a more fully-developed and more thoughtful progression of the story, for the potential of this theme is just

I didn't say she has Asperger's. I said she exhibits the traits, namely, the inability to recognize behavioural cues from others in social interactions and respond accordingly. I don't believe it's odd to speculate about the intersocial abilities of an AI specifically designed for social interaction, using

What you say is true to a point, but let's also recall she was emphatically rejected by Leo as a boy in the course of her introduction to the others, only moments after her own awakening. So she has carried the burden of rejection her entire life.

Äkta Människor is, at its heart, a much more complex story that takes its time to reveal the depth of its characters, and the reward is to the viewer.

I found William Hurt as George a much more approachable character than Leonard, his Swedish counterpart.
