My grandparents have gotten that call four times this year. They quickly discovered it was a scam since they don’t have a computer or an internet connection for the “service” to detect an issue with.

This is right up there with those people claiming my work computer is being tracked and I need to give them my social, address, and credit card information so they can stop the tracking.

You did not have nearly enough fun with that scammer. They play along for a surprisingly long time if you let them.
