Even maintenance costs aren’t much higher when you figure good oil in a Diesel can go 15k without a change. That’s 3 oil changes on a regular vehicle, 5 if it’s not running synthetic.

You don’t use a truck like it should be used do you?

It’s less weird than my 90s Plymouth van fetish.

I love diesels.

And it would lack the low end to easily turn it’s tires into mush.

No, but given the cars it was put up against, it was ballparked around 225-250hp 250-270ft-lbs. Considering the 2700lbs weight and gear ratios.

Both coming in at far higher, far less useful rpms.

Almost all new diesels are Ecoboo.....Turbocharged.

With what diesels?

How’s it compare to the 6.7 PS? 440hp, 960ft-lbs IIRC.

Not sure if anyone’s ever dyno’d one stock honestly.

The long gears were great when mated to a modded 6G. I can’t imagine how bad they would be mated to the 2.2L.

Had a 90 Spirit ES 3.0/4-speed. Intake, 52mm TB, and mild plenum porting. That car averaged 32mpg and would crack off 36mpg cruising at 60mph.

I would have swapped in the turbo head and turbo parts, then had the trans built, or swapped it for the stick.

Always, you as well.

I know you were. We have the Badly modded Subarus around here too.
