I never said the consequences of getting caught were not serious, I merely said A LOT of people speed on both the motorway and the smaller dual-carriages and B-roads.

The speed cameras are clearly marked where they are and where they record. People slow down for these zones, then proptly speed back up. The speed camera zones exist not only on the highways, but a few of the larger and medium back roads.

You should visit England. The speed limit on their M-highways is the same as America (around 70-75 mph). However, the minimum speed people drive on the Ms is a solid buck (100 mph). The police didn’t seem to give a single harumph!
