I love the Hakosuka. All the little details, the classic 60's Japanese styling with thin A-pillars, little touches of chrome, the tiny shift knob... and then the black wheels, the fender flares, and that glorious intake howl at 7,000. It’s such a perfect mix of stateliness and fury.

This is why you modify the steering rack for more oppo.

The Livestrong bracelet really salvages it, though.

Similar - the scene in U-571 where Cpt. Matthew McConaughey orders Trigger down in the bilge to fix the torpedo tube and they both know the kid’s gonna die, and he goes and does it and everybody is saved and he drowns. Holy shit. Movie came out in 2000, I saw it in the theater and I still think about it sometimes.

So if you want a manual GT3 and you didn’t manage to get a 911 R, you’re SOL - even though Porsche has done all the necessary development work to make the

I’m pretty sure you have to kill someone. Wait, do you not want to kill someone?

I’ve always kind of hoped Brand New and the Used would tour together for the same reason.

It’s quite common for initial design and packaging plans to be laid for a new model even as the prior generation is just hitting the market, or only live for a year. Lead times in automotive are incredibly long because of the complexity of the product.

Pretty excited to never unsee that.

I’ve never understood how anyone can complain about the R33 and then go fawn over the cartoonish, puffed-up R34. To me, this thing’s almost as pure as the R32 with nicer build quality.

I really hope the next anti-Cardinals post somehow works in “The Spirit Fingers of St. Louis.”
