The factory STi short shift kit is a must-have, IMHO. I have the 5MT with that shifter in my RS, plus Cusco shifter pucks and the STi rear shifter bushing. Feels amazing compared to the stock setup.

Yeah, none of yours had the 2.5 turbo. I’ve had 11 Subarus of various displacements, turbo and N/A, manual and auto, from 1991 through 2015 model year, and this one gets the worst mileage. It’s quick, automatic and shaped like a brick.

That’s weird, I was able to get my 2015 WRX up to 33-34 on the highway and consistently mid-20s in mixed driving. In my experience the FA20DIT is really really efficient for its performance level.

It’s an XT - 2.5 turbo, 250hp. Car and Driver clocked the 5MT version doing 0-60 in 5.3sec back when it first came out.
