You’re conflating the idea that a company should not be secretive with the idea that a company should have to tell everyone everything.

I’m not saying the outlet should stop running these kinds of articles. Kotaku is obviously (35-40% is a large number) going to continue. The entire point of my post was thus: If you are going to do something that obviously isn’t sanctioned, don’t complain when you are sanctioned. Doing so makes you sound fucking

I’ll agree that the article is very self-important (as is part and parcel for Gawker), but the idea that Kotaku is made up of click-bait is a poor claim. 50%? Maybe. I’d put the number more like 30-45%, myself, but I can definitely see some click-bait. What I can’t see is the idea that Kotaku never writes good news

Oh my god. What a fucking soap-box, grandstand of an article. “We are so concerned that you the reader get the ‘real’ news you deserve, that we are willing to endure these kinds of harsh abuses, just to continue bringing you the reader the kind of coverage you deserve.”

I hate this thread so much because for some reason everyone wants to reply with “The crime wasn’t so bad”, or “NOTHING necessitates that amount of force!”, as if you you were talking about either of those things.

I worked on body recovery and identification after 9/11. Every night I'd go home and play ICO; in ICO, you rescue a princes from a tower, and any bad monster is driven away with a stick - it's fairly death-free gaming.
