Agreed. Even though “Blanche” is usually a female name, I like to think of Candela as female, Spark as male, and Blanche as genderqueer, so there’s no gender imbalance. I hope that they’re not unrealistic enough to go that extreme... but I definitely agree that, unless this is a huge smash hit, we shouldn’t expect any new Metroid game in a long time. I think a moderate success would have them keep the franchise on the back burner, but middling to low sales will just have them shelve…
