Why would you why would you use such a shitty plane to mount a laser?

Lasers are great but they aren’t as effective in atmosphere due to gasses/atmospherics, etc. They are a great weapon for space, but I wouldn’t use a laser rifle as an infantry weapon since weapons get dirty and need to be maintained, and optics are very difficult to maintain and keep working.

Yeah I agree - Preventitive maintenance is real important, something machines might break down on. Humanity fuck yeah.
