Yeah, the way they totally got along despite their respective romances with the same woman was one of the better parts of the film. The other thing that stands out was Kathryn Hahn yelling "stop the violence" during her argument with Rudd.

Sure, he's the most important member of the band. But James wrote the occasional song and Jimmy Chamberlain's drumming was a huge part of their sound.
