It does seem like a lot of parents enjoy the convenience of paying the fee over duking it out at Target. I'm slowing working on the teachers at my school. I'll bring them over to my side eventually.

Yes! I'm already noticing a drastic reduction in the number of comments on posts. It looks like a lot of people are like me and are not sure they want to bother with this place if they can't be part of the conversation.

Pedophilia is not a sexual orientation and it is dangerous to label it that way. It is paraphilic disorder. This is not about sexual preference but a reliance or obsession with children for their sexuality and dominance over them is part of that.

Apparently being a "test tube" baby makes you not as valuable is the children up for adoption. Also didnt you know? When you are told you are infertile you are also given a contract saying you MUST ADOPT AT ALL COSTS regardless of the emotional toll it would take or the financial toll or the years.

if you know you can't handle chlidren from the foster system, you are only able to be a "fair weather" parent, and in that case, you shouldn't be a parent at all

There were more than a few of us who just gave up after a few months. There's not much point in taking the time to write an insightful and well-composed comment if no one ever sees it.

I guess some breeds are really prone to this...I have three shih tzu mixes of various flavors and they all do this on occasion but one does it all LOT. When other people see it they get very concerned that the poor little guy is choking...then I have to explain what a reverse sneeze is and confuse them thoroughly.

Appreciate the tips. This financing was not directly through the car mfr. - it's with Capital One, but I went through Honda to apply for it. I'm planning to call the Honda finance lady and see what she recommends. I did call my mortgage broker & asked if financing a car would create any problems getting a mortgage,

I feel like, if you are looking into surrogacy, you should make it clear in the contract before inserting fertilized eggs that you have no interest in raising any potential disabled children, so that the surrogate knows going into it that she might have to abort, keep the disabled child, or give it up for adoption.

Now playing

While I definitely approve of Maddie and Tae, my favorite song critiquing recent bro-country is Wade Bowen's "Songs About Trucks" — which manages to, in the fashion of "Sad Songs and Waltzes," be both a great critique of popular country and a great country ballad:

Her clothes at Kohls are cute. I'm ashamed I wrote that but it's true.

I remember the early to mid-90s as a great time for women in country music. Such a diversity of voices and styles — Reba, Dolly, Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Suzy Boggus, Kathy Mattea, Lorrie Morgan, Michelle Wright, Terri Clark.

Plus he is the only character more annoying that Piper on OITNB.

I get that sometimes too (my job occasionally takes me to some unpleasant parts of town) - I get the "Let me holla at you" for blocks. One of these days I'm just going to turn around and say, "All right, go ahead - holler at me. Feel better?" But, then again, you never know who's going to freak out and pull a knife on

And that one PP has PAID protesters out front. I enjoy flipping them off as I drive past—they're a real joy.

Anyone else see the resemblance?

I don't understand people that won't buy their dog the best they can afford.

I agree with you, I volunteer at a shelter and we feed only Halo b/c they donate to us, but phew, those dogs are under stress, coming from god knows what and it can be bad. But I have to say, I had the pleasure of sharing my life with two sweet gentle greyhounds, and I never found a food they didn't constantly have

And getting sick and dying young. I figure good food will only save money in the long run, since I pay the vet bills. Someone once gave me Ol Roy biscuits for my dog and I gave them back to her and said I don't feed my dog that junk.
