I hear you. I recently reconnected with an old acquaintance who lives in Alberta (I think outside Calgary). I’ve discovered that she’s a climate change denier among other things (rabid evangelical Christian). I’m regretting the reconnection a bit.

Yeah I had this conversation with a friend recently. She is generally liberal but then pulled the “gun control doesn’t matter because these people will still find a way to get guns” asinine argument.

I’m also in favor of people having to go through extensive training before receiving a gun license - proper usage, etc.
