It is a defect. I never said it wasn’t. But if we share the same career, then you know damn well that if there is a revision and a superceded part along with an extended warranty on the part, then the manufacturer stepped up. GM couldn’t even be bothered to recall a $10 ignition switch. I had a head done under

Just a little amount of trail miles. Thing has carried me everywhere from 120* heat in the mojave to snow, boulders, gold mines, ghost towns etc. True solitude and escape from the rat race.

Where did I say that I would personally cross a fast moving body of water? Calm deep stream, and a swift current are two different things. I will do 30" of still or slow moving water before I would do 12" od current like the video.

Gets out plenty. See my profile pic? See the scrapes and shit on the front bumper? The rash and rusted bead lock? It sees more dirt then street use any more. I have two other cars.

No, my jeep has 37" tires and will take water to the bottom of the headlights. Thats about 43". Stock Jeep in the video has an alleged depth ability of 30"

Oh no, needed a cylinder head for a casting issue and has been fine since! It’s a lemon and plauged with problems I better get rid of it.......

As it has been since the YJ, it shall always be haha. YJ wasn’t exactly a huge step from the CJ, but the TJ was a giant step from the YJ, and the JK was a huge step from the TJ.

I love a good XJ or ZJ. Don’t get me wrong, however as i get older I prefer more free time and less time in the garage patching things up after a weekend of wheeling.

Jeeps been very reliable. So has the VW nothing but maintenance. Albeit the VW has only covered 8k miles in almost two years, so that will substantially slow its inevitable decline to the grave.

You have no concept of anything you speak. I work for a major auto manufacturer as an engineer. I’m perfectly happy having taken my jeep in at 20k miles to have a head replaced for casting flash in a coolant passage considering other problems that plague newer cars.

3.8 stopped in MY 2011. That was the biggest detraction from an early JK was the gutless, oil burning lump of a minivan V6. Once the Pentastar was released, I bought one. They have built a ton of JKs. They also built a ton of XJs, ZJs, TJs amd YJs. However finding one like you said thats not beat to shit, rusted,

Oh yeah, fast water is dangerous. Never would I attempt to cross even a 12" stream that fast....

Hahaha. Seriously though, Daimler gutted Chrysler taking all current R&D and the FS arm, Serberus (?) bought the name plates and current models, floundered and got hit by the economic downturn. In steps FCA, who is using Jeep and Ram for a piggy bank. Now thats turning sour, Dodge has the Challenger and Charger, thats

Whats wrong with a JK?

This was designed WAY before FCA, but then it was a Chrysler/Mercedes-Benz dark years hybrid.... not sure which is worse.

See my profile pic haha. Here is a pic for reference next to my GLI. Those tires are 37" it will take water until the bottom of the headlights. Supposedly more, but thats enough for me.

Seriously, dump and change the fluids, take out and hang the carpet, disconnect the battery and point a fan under the dash for a week and this Jeep will be fine. Exterior will have some scrapes though haha.

I went in to I order that combo in gecko green, but wanted to see it on person first. Color hadn’t been out long and they didn’t have it on their lot. But they had basically what I would have ordered in flame red. Ok. Sure, lucky me. So I bought it, then later when the Gecko green hit the lots, I knew I made the right

I’m not a Ferrari man, but god damn thats a nice looking car.

Honestly the E39 is one of my favorite cars, and probably one of the best cars BMW built. That being said, at this point most of the cars have been sorely neglected and most need a fair dollar amount in repairs.
