I get it. I mean, I know what it is, but its not $39k worth of car for me. The guy who owns it and never drove it probably should have taken his $35k in 1989 money and invested it. The car never got enjoyed, what a waste. I always laugh at people who buy these cars new and sit on them as a speculative investment.

I had a 95 red XE regular cab I traded in for a new 2001 Desert Runner Frontier. My brother had a 2001 4 cyl Frontier, and my mom had this 97 which I just sold last year. Nissan made a great truck. I would love a 4x4 hardbody but I can’t justify it. I loved that 95 and wish I never sold it.

Great truck and great article. One correction, the Frontier nameplate didnt come out until the redesign for MY 1998. Before that it was just the Hardbody. I’ve had one of each. Great trucks and way under rated.
