If it was a 60 would they have still been able to steal it? Not many people can still drive stick. Whenever I leave my Jeep parked in a shitty area, tcase is always put into N. IF they can drive stick, with the alarm going off, I doubt they will take time to figure out the other stick.........
Having beaten some of these silly on a track, the M2 is the perfect drivers car. Everything you need, nothing you don’t and its cheap for a BMW.
The E9X M3 is a high watermark, much like the E39 M5. While it isn't the fastest, the sound that came from the engine is phenomenal and is probably one of the best sounding engines made. Chassis is excellent too and its a great package.

They were big boys, driven and had built proper race cars with cages, fuel cells, harnesses and fire supression systems.... in reality the outcome of driving a CGT on cold, old tires like a mad man on a public street kinda writes…
As it should be. This car has everything it needs and nothing it doesnt. This is the purist car to come from BMW in a while.

Theres more to the M2 than badges and a tune. The M2 has wider fenders, it has the option of the DCT trans, M3 brakes, suspension, //M Active diff which can vary lock up, the crank and rods from the M3/M4s S55, has a special oil pump pickup, M3 wheels and rubber (rear I rhink is one size narrower than the M3).
The M2 uses the N55, but has the S55 crank and rods from the M3/M4 to deal with the extra abuse.
True Dinan signature package cars have decent resale value. The M2 will be built for several years VS the 1M which was limited to 740 units, so the M2 will depreciate, where as the 1M is still selling close to its sticker price.
And people bitched about the innovation of IRS, disc brakes, power steering, a 4th gear, fuel injection, synthetic oil, etc as unreliable fad technology that wasnt really needed....
