Technically, their God doesn't "run" the Universe. He's like the CEO passing the work orders down to his angels. Everything is a well oiled machine and he's able to just kick back and watch the show. Even when problems arise there are other creations waiting to handle each and every crisis without the aide of God.

That's....

A really simple example of Ludonarrative Dissonance:

It'd be an overreaction. The epidemic in West Africa would be extraordinarily difficult to replicate in the U.S. (or anywhere else in the developed world) because of how much better equipped our medical facilities are and how much more institutionalized our healthcare is (whether it's private or public).

Most atheists are also agnostics. It's not a scale where you have atheist in one end, agnostic in the middle and fundamentalist in the opposite. Agnosticism is a quality that is entirely separate from your main belief-base, or absence thereof. I've known Christian agnostics who are uncertain of God's existence, but

I applaud her courage and strength. But it's important to note that she didn't have to forgive him to be a good person. Forgiveness doesn't make anyone a better person, morally, than people who don't forgive — and if you're in a position like this, you should make whatever choice is right for you and your own recovery.

Oh! Good call. I hadn't even thought of applications with Numenera. Personally I was stuck on ideas for Eclipse Phase...

2nd reply, sorry. But as you said it's all about immersion, including decisions, interactions, world building, "set pieces", and a living world. So I'm going to take some time to shamelessly plug what I think is Game of the year so far.

Actually you're right, and I don't think it's pedantic. ME is indeed not an FPS. I meant a real RPG with guns that're over the shoulder. Or something like that. Though Fallout 3 is a real fps rpg, to me at least.

"LISTEN UP RECRUITS, SIR ISAAC NEWTON IS THE DEADLIEST SON OF A BITCH IN SPACE."

I don't agree with her on most of the things, her videos aren't that great. They DO have good points thou.

So that's what happened to all the edge from those swords.

You might want to check out the actual definition for "troll", and chill out while you're at it. Also, longsword fencing is not a competitive sport, but purely a martial art.

man, as much as i want something new to play, and as big a fan as i've always been of Halo and borderlands, i simply can not get over how boring and bland this game seems. :(

You see what you want to see... I just see stars.

What drove Gamergate is gamers feeling they found clear reasons for journalist and bloggers to lose the moral authority that they have been asserting for a few years now. Lots of people who support it feel some type of way about different things, but I think that's what drove it. Gamers have been given the impression

Part of the point is that the male butt shot isn't quite on par. Also, the absurdity of the idea that any kind of clothing would cling like that is best gender-swapped this way.

You had me at Dan Abnett. God amongst Black Library writers. Let us keep him safe from the foul Gotto and The Great Defiler of Canon; Ward. So that he may continue to produce Eissenhorn along with The Blessed Mitchell's Cain Archives and whatever ultrasmurf nonsense McNiell likes to write.

There's a degree of truth to this. This has been an issue between two sides who both forget the fact there's a vast ocean of people in between them who don't even know this issue has existed, because they don't even read video game websites or have twitter accounts. they just...play video games.
