100%. And at a cultural/societal level, misogyny no doubt drives the general reactions to AOC.

Doesn’t even have to be sexism driving dude’s AOC dislike. Maybe he doesn’t like millennials, or maybe he doesn’t feel she’s paid her dues yet since she’s such a new rep. There are any number of implicit biases that might be at play.

My 9-year-old nephew called out something his grandma said as racist. He literally said, “Nana, that’s racist,” and her immediate and visceral response was “I’m not racist!” He called out a specific comment; she acted as if her entire being was called out.

If you’d like to call out “knee-jerk baseless” accusations, maybe reevaluate your own reaction.  You didn’t give any other information about your friend beyond how he thinks AOC is “crazy” which is an extremely common descriptor leveled specifically at women.  Dinosaurs made very clear your friend is likely a nice

Trump’s desperately wanted either a war or a massive tragedy since he took office.  He’s convinced it’ll bring us together and cement his glorious legacy. The human cost means nothing to him, or the party that supports him.

I keep looking for people complaining about how many people got snapped on Titan.  Only Tony and Nebula remained.  That ain’t 50% either.

I like The Last Jedi, am meh on Thrones, still like the new Ghostbusters, and like Rick and Morty (though the fandom can lick lick lick mah balls). I’m more likely to sour on Endgame than Ghostbusters, since I managed my GB expectations better. Gonna need a few months, though.

Bullshit.  What do you think the Department of Labor does?

6 is an interesting number in that example, because written out, you’d have “sixes.” Apostrophes are also used to indicate removed letters from words. So 6's is still technically correct as a plural, though it’s the kind of correct that actually causes more confusion.

Did Clint ever return his kid’s baseball glove?  Wouldn’t be hard to make that (or any other interaction or item taken during testing) be the butterfly wing flap that set off the multiverse.

Where does FOIL come into play? First-Outer-Inner-Last

I doubt the raw meat itself is the problem, but all the stuff the meat touches before your cat eats it. Same reason a rare steak is safer than a rare burger made from meats you ground yourself, which itself is safer than store bought ground beef.

One of the top articles on Salon at the moment is about how CNN and NYT either fell for or actively participated in a White House propaganda scheme, falsely inflating (or just outright fabricating) successes of Juan Guaido’s coup attempt in Venezuela.  So this feels pretty par for the course.

I’m of two minds about this.

Somewhere around the 1860s, I believe.

Maybe if we Kickstart it?

Well, 2019 Thanos does.
