2.) An Ivy League degree listed on a resume might get an interview faster than other institutions, but the interview itself will quickly put the lie to the idea that the applicant was a star student (assuming they weren’t, of course).

Doesn’t passage in the House require a vote in the Senate as well? I thought that was why the bill blocking the border wall executive order was a big deal. Mitch can’t just bury it anymore.
Born in Denver, live in Northern Colorado. She always comes to my mind first when I think about Boulder, too, even though you just told us about her. I prefer Boulder to Colorado Springs, but I generally avoid both.
Fair points, and it’s not like I’d refuse to vote for Hickenlooper if he was nominated. At the same time, though, human decency and basic competence shouldn’t need to be stated as requirements for the job, current President notwithstanding. No candidate should get praise simply because they’re not the living…
As a Colorado resident, it’s not that I think Hick would be a *bad* president. I mean, a soggy tuna sandwich would be better in the role than what we have right now. I just have zero interest in supporting milquetoast centrist white dudes anymore. I want my leaders to have big ideas they’re willing to fight tooth and…
That’s just called “saving for retirement.”
Side note: I hope this doesn’t sound ruder than I intend. I was going for tongue-in-cheek joshing. Trolling Reddit is the online equivalent of what I imagine walking a neighborhood beat would be. I appreciate you saving me the hassle.
How am I only learning about this now? C’mon, Kotaku! I count on you to pay attention to Reddit for me so I don’t have to. I expect quicker turnaround in the future.
I’ll show him the exact same amount of sympathy and compassion Conservatives show other non-violent offenders: none.
I’m not going to get into a long explanation of the benefits of grammar, but I will say that your position that grammar only matters when you want to feel smug is as dismissive and reductive as prescriptivist grammar police who believe everything has to conform to the rules they were taught.
I can’t fault your reasons. Aloy was absolutely more interesting than Link. Horizon’s plot was more complex and carefully told. The setting more complete.
I really regretted playing BotW before Horizon. I played them back to back, and it was so hard to appreciate how Horizon improved the genre when BotW utterly redefined it. Flip the order, and I would have had a sublime three or four months, I think.
Literally just for the post-credit scene of Fury recruiting Stark. And ‘cuz it’s the first one.
So... am I understanding this correctly? There’s a film called Looper.... and by adding a certain combination of letters to the front of that film’s name.... Nope. I got lost again.
Five movies, plus the spoileriest trailers you can find for the intervening films played in between each:
You need to know the rules so that you understand what’s happening when you break them. Grammar rules exist to aid comprehension and communication, but sometimes what you want another person to comprehend is best communicated by breaking the rules.
If she put as much thought into her training as she did into her defense statement, I doubt she calibrated or curated anything prior to the race. Other than her outfit.
This. Just say, “The course was changed, and maybe I made a mistake. It was a charity run, though, so let’s focus on what’s actually important.” Even if you intentionally cheated, that’s just an easier excuse than getting pissy about proof you cheated. Just another example of the cover up being worse than the crime.
Those owners are absolutely inviting a labor lawsuit, if that classification change is true.
I’ll settle for Medicare for All and just a single day where political scandal isn’t the biggest story.
