I had heard of some people who had registered Ariel Atoms who were then having the registrations revoked (after spending a lot of money to get said Atoms here). Block isn’t very good. Running a factory Ford helped get him in the semifinals most of the time, but he was never in contention for a finals win. I don’t think any other team is going to swap out a legit driver for him.

I drove briefly last year — up until somebody ran a red light and totaled my car shortly after I dropped somebody off. If you’re just in it for some side cash and/or want something to do, go for it. Don’t expect to make a living. And the hazards of being on the road that much more (and general increased maintenance…

I hope so. Given that Ford has been doing it might be why they haven’t. But right now their official YouTube is spotty at getting anything up during a race weekend. Usually the final race is there eventually, but no semis and only a couple qualifying highlight packages.

I just started watching WRX and Ford’s YouTube stream is super convenient. Really sucks I might not have free and easy access to that next year now that I’m following it.

WRX is leaning electric and I’m not sure next year’s power units are even set in stone yet. At some point there will be either an all-electric sub-championship or all of WRX will be electric. I think that’s why Ford doesn’t want to commit to 2018 yet.

Going to guess there is something else going on here that us Americans are not familiar with. Some arrangement where these aren’t typical fast food parking lots or at least the franchise/company doesn’t actually own them.

My wife has a bad habit of running her car near empty. She thinks getting gas is a horrible PITA chore and often dispatches me to fill up when she remembers to tell me at 11 p.m. on a weeknight. There have been a couple occasions when I wasn’t sure the car was going to make it to the gas station.
