Games like fortnite are fine because everything is cosmetic and everything is sold without the need to take a “chance” on getting it.

All three of those games were unmitigated train wrecks.

5-10fps is significant, especially depending on your hardware.

i disagree. i purposefully waited to purchase ME:A more than a year after release, just to make sure that I have the absolute last patches that were ever going to be released, and even with (virtually) all technical glitches removed and/or fixed, the game and missions were still bland, monotonous, uninteresting.  it

Unlike NMS, there’s been basically no public statements about improving the game. You can’t be suspicious of people for not knowing about improvements if they were never told.  Based on Andromeda at launch, it’s unrealistic to expect people to keep it installed and keep checking back with it.

Really can’t take this seriously, because they’re arguing about essentially nothing. Riot says they can’t change anything until pending litigation has resolved. That makes sense. They also said that once that occurs they’ll change their policy. That also makes sense.

Microsoft had (and still has, really) a monopoly on PC because if you want your PC software to be successful, you have to support Windows. There is no PC software that has sold well without being on Windows. The same isn’t true of Steam. There are plenty of successful games that don’t use Steam. Minecraft, LoL,

You are aware that random people can write articles on the internet even if their claims are demonstrably false? Crazy, I know.

You’re making a lot of statements with no basis in reality. Fortnite is not on Steam. Minecraft is not on Steam. League of Legends isn’t on Steam. Crossfire isn’t on Steam. Diablo isn’t on Steam. Starcraft isn’t on Steam. Hearthstone isn’t on Steam. World of Warcraft isn’t on Steam. Overwatch isn’t on Steam. The

Valve does not have an effective monopoly on PC gaming. In order to have a monopoly, they’d have to dominate the market and restrict competition. They don’t do that. They let publishers and developers generate Steam keys for free and sell them outside of Steam without giving any cut to Valve. Valve doesn’t pay for

Why is “Steam is a monopoly” the end-all argument for some people? Can you explain how Steam is a monopoly? Which monopolistic practices Steam partakes in? Heck, can you give me the definition of a monopoly?

“Steam/Valve has an effective platform monopoly - but that isn’t anti-consumer...?”

I plead to people who care about gaming not to purchase any games at the Epic Store.

Those games are less to do with porn and more to do with erotica. People don’t read erotica for a quick 3-5 min fap. They prefer the mental foreplay before hand.

The games is in early access, when it fully releases with achievements on Steam I’ll buy, just like every other Supergiant game, it’ll be on my Steam library with Tansistor, Bastion and Pyre!

This. “Lootboxes are not gambling” is more hairsplitting than it is a legitimately nuanced statement.

I am in no way defending these choices, but is this one of your first visual novels? I feel as if you can count on almost every A+ popular visual novel being overly perverted/sexual and also sexualizing minors. Even Phoenix Wright does it with Pearl Fey.

What about storing the configuration in the peripheral itself? Or, you know, allowing the config to be exported to an on-disk file. Why, that’s simply insane! /s

If you can describe what I was doing as “Caping for steam”, then that fits your actions as well. There isn’t really a debate about that. I’m not “On Steams side”, i’m on the customers side. It happens, that at this current moment, that means Steam looks better.

No title on steam is exclusive through contract like Epic store. Lying isn’t convincing.
