No offense but you likely “didn’t see the value” of Tesla at 90, 140, 200, 300, or 500, either. And now you missed the boat. Or maybe not?

Yeah but within 3 Mississippis the BMW is in the lane that the Tesla would switch to. It cant even if it wanted.  Once that BMW was the there the Tesla has to stay course.

^^This is passing normally. The bmw driver seems to have come up a bit fast but ultimately made a safe transition to pass. Then this happens:

I feel like you and I watched a very different video given your description, and there is a lot of victim blaming going on.

is the prospect of putting a TON of chargers at every post office (my local post office has at least 40 trucks parked there every night),

Most current EVs have an internal locking mechanism that doesn’t allow the charger to be unplugged while the vehicle is locked. The only way they could unplug would be to vandalize each plug by cutting the cable (not smart) or breaking the handle with a hammer.

This is all possible but then again you can vandalize any

What he said.

I suspect the main issue with EV’s in this application (aside from convincing the old farts making the decisions that it’s a good idea) is the prospect of putting a TON of chargers at every post office (my local post office has at least 40 trucks parked there every night), and the risk of some jackass kids deciding

I’m going to give you a very valuable life lesson here. If you see something being sold at a Mall Kiosk there is a 100% certainty that there are both much better and/or cheaper versions of whatever that thing is somewhere else.

I keep seeing GOP comment trolls say “The DEMS did it first and that’s how they stole the election!”

It has not aged well, but it’s funny, from some angles I see a lot of the 5th gen Camaro.

You are a moron, I do hope you understand that.

Building new cars to that standard is not my issue.

Yes. I see the reasoning. Bureaucratic self justification. An aftermarkets parts company had to pay CARB for the tax stamp of approval and the parts company will pass that cost on to me. Neat. Carb sucks.

For clarity, a single federal standard would be a great benefit. However CARB seems to work on the faulty assumption that modified in anyway means worse gas mileage and worse emission. And the few exemptions I am aware in CARB are expensive and limited in number so that it comes off as a punishment. Simply making

You needed a new battery also. I have driven cars with failed alternators or perhaps generators just charging the battery at weekends.

I just need to say here that as an attorney who has been practicing for 25+ years and who has seen a lot of otherwise smart male lawyers do very dumb things when they have attractive female clients, I find that heart at the end very concerning.

“WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT, WELFARE ABUSING, GOVERNMENT OVERSPENDING IS THIS?! A FUCKING MERCEDES IS DROPPING OFF MY MAIL?! I CAN’T EVEN AFFORD A NEW FUCKING KIA, AND I’M PAYING THAT ASSHOLES SALARY TO DRIVE A MERCEDES?! NO WONDER TRUMP WANTS TO KILL THE USPS, THIS IS BULLLLLSHIITTTTTT”
