I think if I were facing this with my 6 yr old, I'd do a couple of things. First, I'd take her somewhere where we could see lots of different people (like the mall) and then have her point out people she thinks are pretty to get an idea of her impressions. I'd also point out other random people to her and ask her to

It's spelled jaunt.

She looks amazing! Her twins and my twins are the same age, so why don't I look like that? I know the answer.

My first instinct was to love it. Then I decided the flower needs to be lower on the skirt to avoid looking like an accident.

Exactly. I think oversized tubs are generally uncomfortable for any length of time. I need somewhere to anchor my feet so they don't float up and away from me. Not to mention there needs to be a place for wine and chocolate.

I don't know that's it's forgetting, so much as hoping/expecting it won't be so bad next time. I had severe morning sickness through my entire first pregnancy (not HG though) and managed to convince myself that it really wasn't as bad as I thought and it wouldn't be so bad the second time around. Other women mange to

I'm ridiculously excited by this. I've been reading Dr Seuss for 6 years, have many books memorized, and cannot wait to buy this book! I've been trying to get my first grader to practice reading with Dr Seuss, and she also had most of them memorized. Yay!

I agree. I'm usually "meh" about most runway fashion. But this collection is amazing. I love it all. I want to own these dresses. And have a place to wear them.

I'm a total sucker for lace dresses like this! By far my favorite in the collection, but the whole thing is amazing.

I like to picture her sitting at a bar with her friends, taking shots and laughing every time he sends a message.

This is so awesome. I feel very boring as result of watching it. And I kind of want to refold all of our sheets. But then I remembered I gave my 6-yr-old the job of putting away sheets and towels, so my linen closet is a fucking mess and no one would even be able to see the nicely folded sheets.

I agree with everything you said. Ketchup was only good when I was a child. Or during my second pregnancy when I had mad cravings for ketchup. But otherwise, I don't really use it and it's never a sure thing that I'll have some in my fridge. I do keep ranch on hand. For the kids. We'll go with that.

i agree completely. I might even introduce my 6-yr-old to her music. That little girl is determined to love all things sugary sweet pop princess. TSwift is better than most as far as role models go.

I've never seen a tornado, therefore they do not exist. Neither do hurricanes. You can show me pictures and tell me stories, but until I experience one*, hurricanes and tornados are merely myths.

Oooh... Bakeries are a bit of a minefield for nut allergies. But i assume the burden is on me to keep my kid safe and would never expect a complete change of equipment. It's on me to just not take her somewhere where it's an issue.

pesto is scary shut for someone with a nut allergy. It's in so many things and people don't tend to think about it containing nuts.

Thank you! My daughter has an allergy and I never know how to broach it when ordering. So far, it's no big deal because she's 3 and we only take her to family friendly places with kids menus and there's not much risk of a pistachio making its way into her grilled cheese, y'know?

Cardassian Empire. I love you. (Off to binge watch more Star Trek.)

Thank you! I wish the article made this more clear. A teen's natural sleep time is later than an adult's. The idea behind the later start time isn't so much about the wake up time as it is the fall asleep time.

I completely agree. I did the typical middle-class, first time mom in her 30s thing and read a LOT of parenting books during my oldest daughter's first year. Then I compared what I was reading to how I was raised (good), how my husband was raised (not as good), how my nephews were being raised (good, but different
