Even with dry skin the IT Cosmetics powder foundation wears well. When I have dry patches it doesn't amplify them.

I have done this, and had fun- take some clothes you know look good on you, and lounge around reading. I like mysteries or something that will make me laugh on vacation. Swim. Tropical drinks are great even without the rum. Get a massage or your nails done. Do some sightseeing- through the hotel, in a group, maybe.

Yeah, that sounds rough. Maybe there’s a place you can check your stuff while you go swimming, or maybe some activities you can book for yourself in advance (like a spa?)? I’ve yet to do a destination wedding and they sound really isolating if you go alone :(
