Same. “What’s so bad about that,” I thought.

Of course she did! Her makeup & hair team were there, i’m sure.

I kind of want a real cat to be inside that.

I wonder if she had her assistant follow her the entire way and pat her dry before they went to meet the photographers. No one can look that put together after a hike?

But look at her hair. In between starting the hike and getting to the top of the hill, she clearly had her pulled back in a bun or twisted into a clip. She made sure the photographers weren’t around to capture it on film. And what is she storing in those tall boots? Towelettes? Deodorant? A change of clothes? The man

I feel like hand jobs and finger play get a bad rap.

I’m still having trouble with his name.

Also, I need some clarification. Is it going to be the actual ScarJo playing this Japanese lady in the flick or is it going to be the sexbot ScarJo that some guy just made?

It’s stupid to get mad at that. She’s not telling anybody how to live their lives. She’s just talking about how she chose to live hers.

Yeah I have to say it’s pretty laughable that people are bothered by that. Why shouldn’t she be able to do that? In a perfect world, we all could. But she has that option, so why shit on her for saying it? What was she supposed to do, work the shitty jobs to show solidarity for those of us who don’t have that option?

I must have missed the part where she asked you to be sympathetic to her plight. Can you refresh my memory and point it out?

She didn’t say it to tell other people to do what she did. I could understand the proletarian ‘fuck the rich’ resentment if she were writing a self-help book and claiming to be just an average gal with the secret to success, but she’s not. She’s just relating her experience. And sure, she comes from privilege, but not

I get what you're saying, but she's won three Emmy awards and has worked in Hollywood pretty steadily for 30 years. Shes worked for her success

Julia was a ridiculously wealthy person from the day she was born due to family money, and all you hear about her is what a kind, good hearted, hard working woman she is, and how respected she is for earning her comedy cred on her own, without the influence of her father’s money. She is an icon of comedy, and proof

Oh. I thought this was going to be an article about oversharing at work and instead it’s an article about.... millennials? I think?

We get it. But the writing is objectively bad.

Oh man, it is a huge relief to read the comments and realize I’m not the only one whose eyes started to cross a bit. I got very confused and eventually gave up. (I hope the writer doesn’t get too discouraged by the comments though, because it sounds like she’s struggling already.)

I spent 2 paragraphs being concerned for my suddenly crap reading comprehension skills, then thankfully thought to check the comments.

God, it finally happened — I forgot how to read. Because I have no idea what any of this means.
