Is this issue that your foundation is coming off and exposing the redness in your skin or that the color of the foundation isn’t as good of a match as when you put it on?

I did them for a while when I was younger. The pain isn’t all that bad (the part closest to my stomach was actually the worst), but I just never thought it was worth the cost. I felt like there were 3, maybe five, good days between the redness/splotchiness going away and growth coming in- it comes back a lot faster…
I’m still baffled by the number of people who have jobs where they can be on a site like this at all, dick pics or not.
Alright, who was spying on my last tinder date?
are you supposed to try to cram actual socks in there and spend the day with dreaded sock lumps and the toe seam all out of place because you know you won’t be able to smooth them out in that situation, or are you supposed to forgo socks and squish around in pools of foot sweat and spend the day dreading the…
Also, how is Sue Perkins not related to Emma Thompson? If I close my eyes I swear it’s Emma Thompson speaking and there’s something very similar about their mouths, (maybe not in photos but when speaking?).
I agree! I’m pretty noise sensitive so it’s very jarring and unpleasant- even painful- for me.
I just started watching this tonight and everyone is so polite! It’s delightful!
Yes! If it was *just* on Instagram, I’d be fine with it and could appreciate the technique, artistry, lighting, etc. that go into creating a certain look for a photo. But when that shit is walking down the street it just looks ridiculous. Too many women/girls are doing literal translations of the photo looks.
Yeah, I’m getting that a bit on my décolletage, which I always wanted to avoid. Definitely try an AHA treatment/lotion, be religious about sunscreen, and consider an anti-aging serum/moisturizer over a typical body lotion.
I got the Becca Luminous Blush in Camellia. It was a freebie and I was super skeptical because it looks quite sparkly in the pan, (which gives me flashbacks of terrible early-aughts glitter), but it’s much nicer on the skin! It definitely gives a noticeable glow/sheen but blends in pretty well and doesn’t read…
AHA/glycolic acid or Vitamin C (usually used for spot treatment). And when you’re young and pale, just call them freckles. ;)
For more even skin tone, try a lotion with glycolic acid like this one. I’ve found that taking a high quality fish oil has made my skin calmer (especially on my face) resulting in less redness/patchiness. Vitamin C is supposed to by good for dark spots and make sure to treat fresh wounds/scars with Vitamin E oil. But…
Go chemical for exfoliants! It’s much gentler on your skin and I find it gives much more consistent results. Look for something with about 5% AHA for daily use. If you have any acne/blackheads, BHA’s are better for addressing that, but they can be more drying.
There’s a new one on Amazon by Julian Fellowes (who did Downton Abbey). Haven’t watched it yet, but I’m hoping it’s good!
“I’m living for the day when I Love Lucy is on Netflix”
I love Grace and Frankie. It’s one of the few shows that’s made me laugh out loud lately with all the subtle little one-liners and I really enjoy seeing vibrant older people in a show. And I know it annoys some people, but I love their wealthy fantasy world: it’s like a Nancy Meyers movie. And Frankie’s yam man in…
I watched Humans for a while and liked it, but ultimately stopped because AMC does that super annoying thing where the volume of a show is really quiet and then they blast the commercials. It made the entire viewing experience so unpleasant for me that I just stopped watching... I’ll have to check it out again on…
I just started watching the Americans, too! I remember catching a few episodes when it first came out but I never got invested enough to keep track of it. But I think it might be a better binge watch show, anyway.
Yeah, I’ve heard about the oil solubility. I think I’m okay with that, though: I’d rather just expect to do one touchup after lunch and have everything stay entirely put otherwise than more gradual fading, (which I would inevitably forget to touch up as needed).
