That’s a good idea. I like really swimming, (not just wading), though, so I’m afraid I’d spend the whole time worrying if it was still attached to me as I’m crashing through waves. Maybe I’ll give it a try at the local beach, first.

Nearly a year ago I was fired from a job for being ‘unapproachable’, not being ‘open’ enough, and not ‘connecting’ with my staff. It really did a number on me, destroying my confidence in my social abilities and making me feel like an inherently unlikeable person. The entire time I was there I felt like I was making a…
Good to know! I swatched it quickly and was impressed: the powder was so fine it seemed to disappear into my skin. I’m thinking it would at least be really good for humid days, sweaty activities (esp with the spf!), and midday touch ups if not for my every day foundation.
I’ll probably only stay at the hotel/resort for a night or two around the wedding and the rest of the time will be Airbnb, so hotel-based activites will be limited. Not sure if this is good or not: I feel like the hotel atmosphere would make my singleness feel more conspicuous, but they also provide more amenities…
That’s pretty cool!
They’re supposed to be very gentle, so it’s probably a good option. If/when she needs a ‘real’ face wash it might help to keep it in the shower rather than making it a whole separate face washing process. I always hated getting my hairline/neck/sleeves/countertop all wet when washing my face as a youngster.
There’s really nothing all that magical about micellar water; there’s nothing wrong with in, but it’s mostly a trendy buzz word right now. It’s probably a decent intro to skin care as it’s easy to use, but it’s probably not going to do much for hormonal teenage acne.
Do you happen to know if she’s microchipped? If not then one day when they toss her outside and leave, just take her to a shelter (try not to let any other neighbors see you), and just tell them you found her. The next time you see her ‘owners’ play dumb: ‘What happened to your dog? She hasn’t come into my yard…
I’m planning on going to a destination wedding in the fall dateless. I absolutely want to be there for my friend and I’m excited about the location, but being alone there is going to suck. I really won’t know anyone at the wedding other than her family, (or maybe a few people whom I haven’t seen in literal decades),…
These aren’t my nails (I’ve never figured out how to upload my own pics), but I bought and am just not putting on Zoya’s ‘Lola’. It’s a true neon pink, I think even brighter and slightly flatter than in the picture. It’s quite atypical for me and I love it.
Today I bought some Supergoop ‘Forever Young Hand Cream’ with spf40. I used my hands a lot (cooking, gardening, art, past jobs) and have not been kind to them over the years. I’ve recently started using Go Green Miracle Balm at night, (got it in my Kloverbox and love it), which has really helped soften them, but I…
I did not know James McAvoy was a.) married, b.) a father, and c.) 37. I thought he was, I dunno... 32? This may have all been self-serving denial.
I got this Go Green Miracle Balm in my last Kloverbox and am really liking it. I’ve bought various balms and hand creams before but never end up using them consistently, usually because I don’t like the texture or there aren’t lasting results. This one is a little oily feeling at first, but then it absorbs really…
I have dry skin and love Paula’s Choice. I use the Skin Recovery SPF 30 Moisturizer, the Resist Serum (love! really gives my skin an extra boost and I’m glowing in the morning, might be too heavy for combo skin), and the Weekly AHA Exfoliant (I might switch to a lower percentage that I can use daily; I only use this…
I recently started a job with a beauty-related company so I think I’m going to have lots to share here now!
I think laughing at that officially makes me a bad person.
I think the key phrase in what you said is ‘in schools’. I agree that this could be a powerful teaching tool in the right context, but if it’s given a traditional theatrical release and sold as mere entertainment, there is definitely a strong ick factor.
I think it could work in the context of a museum, but is inappropriate for wide-release in theatres. The D-Day museum in Arromanches shows a little movie in a 360 degree room and there is something quite powerful about being surrounded by the images and sounds.
“It’s shitty, sure, but here’s the thing: Reagan was kind of shitty. And more importantly, he was a public figure and open to ridicule.”
What are they citing when they give that statistic? Not to mention that a.) it’s in their own best interest to propagate that click-baity belief, b.) one can find an ‘article’ on the internet (or a ‘study’ to write an article about) to support just about any claim, and c.) the bosses in whatever ‘study’ that was…
