That’s what my husband and I are thinking. We really want our daughter in a place that focused on education once she’s old enough to really benefit from it, but I have to admit that many if not most of the bells and whistles at this place aren’t aimed at infants who are still so, so young.

Thank you! I think it’s a bad idea, both physically and emotionally\mentally, for me to take only the bare minimum. It is enraging to me that not only is paid maternity leave not standard, but that it’s not even available to me as a damn public school teacher. C’mon!

The absolute worst that happens is you two don’t hit it off and you spend an awkward hour together, then wish each other well with no mention of speaking again.

I have no experience, but I would give some of the same advice I give when friends are going on lots of dates: Always let someone know where you are, be diligent about not just birth control but condoms, and trust your gut- if something feels off in any way, do not hesitate to bail.

I don’t clean up after myself at all, and I eat alllllllllll the fast food. It’s not pretty.
