Since you seem familiar with this guy, and I am not, let me ask- is that Sarah Palin in the picture? Is he related to her or something?

Thank you!
Thank you, Kender! I always love to hear how you’re doing, too, since we’re at pretty similar points. The idea of leaving my child with strangers all day though... it still freaks me out. And waiting lists! Geez, I thought for sure we’d be fine starting to look 3 months before I gave birth, but apparently that’s last…
That’s what my husband and I are thinking. We really want our daughter in a place that focused on education once she’s old enough to really benefit from it, but I have to admit that many if not most of the bells and whistles at this place aren’t aimed at infants who are still so, so young.
Thank you! I think it’s a bad idea, both physically and emotionally\mentally, for me to take only the bare minimum. It is enraging to me that not only is paid maternity leave not standard, but that it’s not even available to me as a damn public school teacher. C’mon!
You damn GENIUS. I love it!
I haven’t toured the second place yet, so all this may be moot- it may not be as clean or well-staffed or whatnot. Pricier place is in a wealthier neighborhood, cheaper place is mid-to-low income area, both are about as convenient as one another.
Y’all. Daycare is expensive. Painfully so. We’re trying to get daycare lined up for our little one, since I’m only planning on taking 6-8 weeks for maternity leave. (Side note- any stories to help me decide between 6 vs. 8 weeks would be really helpful. I have no idea when I’ll feel ready, but I’m sure 6 is the…
Glad to hear from you, Maya! I have no idea if I’m the pregnant Jezzie you’re referring to (I know there are at least two of us who regularly post on SNS), but if I am I’ll happily share that everything is going swimmingly, and I’ll hit 33 weeks tomorrow.
The absolute worst that happens is you two don’t hit it off and you spend an awkward hour together, then wish each other well with no mention of speaking again.
Ugh, yeah, PCOS sucks. A lot. As a fellow sufferer, I don’t have much to offer beyond commiseration.
It’s so good to know my little one will be in such good company!
Awww, thanks!
I have no experience, but I would give some of the same advice I give when friends are going on lots of dates: Always let someone know where you are, be diligent about not just birth control but condoms, and trust your gut- if something feels off in any way, do not hesitate to bail.
I don’t clean up after myself at all, and I eat alllllllllll the fast food. It’s not pretty.
Hello, fellow pregnant lady! I’ll be 32 weeks tomorrow, we finally have the nursery all set up, along with a full name picked out. Only problem is now I have little to do to keep my occupied between now and when she arrives.
Good luck! (And wear what YOU feel best in, because otherwise part of your brain will be distracted by not liking what you’re wearing.)
I wish I had something amazing and concrete to tell you, but all I can say is that I’m sending all the love and support I can through the air to you. I’m so glad you have loving people around you, and if you feel comfortable with it, I’m sure they’d be open to extending their love and support to your dad as a way to…
Update: Last week (the week before?) I posted asking for suggestions for a middle name for my daughter. This week my husband and I settled on Marie, after Marie Curie. I had forgotten that in addition to being a badass female scientist, she was the FIRST woman to receive a Nobel Prize (I remembered that she won one,…
Chrissy Teigen would be terrible for any RH franchise, because she would be completely, 100% incapable of not acknowledging the manufactured aspects of the show. It would be hilarious as a viewer, but definitely not helpful to the “authenticity” Bravo still likes to pretend is an aspect of Housewives.
