Damon Young at the Root summed this up pretty well in his piece on Monday.

The thing people need to remember is that the people on Fox aren’t what bring in the money. The hate is what brings in the money. Fox viewers aren’t going to follow their favorite “personality” to a new channel, because those channels are the enemy and therefore everyone there is the enemy.
